Job Title: Vascular Access Nurse Job Summary: We are seeking a PICC Nurse to join our team! You will be responsible for the assessment, diagnosis, and line placement of assigned patients. Supervision: Reports to- Peggy Gotte (CEO) and Melanie Huerlander (DON) Responsibilities: Assesses patients with difficult access or need for long term IV therapy for appropriate vascular access device. Works with staff nurses, physicians, case mangers and other team members to insure early assessment for VAD selection and implementation. Participates in education with Vascular Access education with patient, family member and staff. Reviews physicians order. Obtains consent. Reviews medical records for any contraindications of peripheral vascular access.
