The Unit Manager assumes 24-hour responsibility for directing and coordinating resident/patient care in the assigned nursing unit (approximately 40 to 50 beds) in accordance with current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations and Keswick’s nursing care standards.
Graduation from an accredited registered nurse curriculum is required; Bachelors degree in Nursing preferred.
Active Registered Nurse license without disciplinary infractions by Maryland Board of Nursing.
Certification in Infection Control is preferred
Current AHA HCP BLS certification is required.
IV insertion skills are required.
Requires 5 years of prior nursing experience in an acute or long-term care setting including 2 recent years in a supervisory role.
